Adobe Camera RAW
Carol Dragon, Instructor
A one-day weekend workshop in Wilton, CT
Sunday May 10, 2009
9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Gain greater control over the quality of your digital images by learning the power of working with RAW image files. Digital cameras process sensor data when you shoot JPEGs, compressing image detail, damaging color information and exacerbating noise. However, if you shoot RAW digital files, you have the power to make all the important adjustments to your images with Adobe Camera Raw in a totally non-destructive manner. We will cover techniques to recover lost highlight detail and to adjust white balance, exposure, contrast, noise reduction and sharpening. We will also explore the new Gradient Mask and Adjustment Brush for selective corrections and learn how to batch process, so that photographers can simultaneously simplify their workflow.
We'll cover the Preferences and the Develop module in the morning and practicing with images I provide on a CD, We'll cover all of the specialized corrections in the afternoon and practice working with their own images.
