Wedding Photography
Pauline St. Denis, Instructor

A two-day weekend workshop in Fairfield, CT

Saturday May 16 and Sunday May 17, 2009

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day

Contemporary wedding photography is a combination of the best of lifestyle, fashion, portraiture, and still life genres. And a wedding assignment is very much like shooting an editorial assignment - you're there to visually tell the story of your clients' special day.
You have one time only to capture all the fine points and details of a day that will never be repeated, and one time only to help direct and create the story that will become nostalgic memories for generations. Pauline St. Denis, has spent the past twenty years shooting editorial magazine photography and advertising, getting the shots that matter, dealing with challenging situations and diverse clientele. And those experiences have contributed to her twenty years of a successful and equally diverse wedding business - specializing in location work; she's a pro who gets the shot without stealing the scene.
In this one-day intensive hands-on Workshop, Pauline will discuss her editorial approach to wedding photography, demonstrating how you can create and tell a memorable story through photographs. Well-known for her modern candid wedding images that have a strong classic sensibility, Pauline will show you basic lighting, and how to use a combination of natural lighting, on-camera flash and single, soft flash, to create and capture the emotional moments of the couple's magical day. You'll work with models and learn simple, quick solutions to a variety of problems that inevitably present themselves on virtually any assignment..
